Window Cut Out in Layton, UT
Creekside Windows & Glass recently completed a major window cut-out and expansion project for a homeowner in Layton, dramatically transforming the home with a much larger custom window opening. The original 36” x 36” window was removed and expanded into a stunning new 108” x 46” opening, allowing for significantly more natural light and creating a more open, modern feel inside the home. The larger window completely changed the appearance of the space, giving the homeowners expansive outdoor views and a brighter, more inviting atmosphere.
Because the project involved a substantial structural modification, the Creekside team installed a new engineered beam and header above the opening to properly support the home and ensure long-term structural integrity. In addition to the framing work, the exterior brick had to be carefully cut, removed, and reinstalled to seamlessly match the surrounding masonry. From demolition and structural preparation to the final glass installation and rebrick work, every detail was completed with precision and craftsmanship. The finished project showcased Creekside Windows & Glass’s ability to handle complex custom window renovations while delivering a polished, professional result.
